My collection of short funny poems, all original works created since 2002, has been moved to two new website:
Peculiar Poetry is a collection of poems for adults and mature teenagers. The majority of the poems are humorous, but the odd serious poem is thrown in as well. Most of the funny poems had their original airing on Ruddington.org and, whilst I will continue to publish new poems on this site, I have decided to archive the poems at peculiar-poetry.com
Poetry Mad Kids is a website full of short funny poems for children, aimed at the under 12s. It takes a lighthearted approach to poetry and is intended as a leisure site rather than a educational resource. The collection covers a broad range of subjects and poetic styles, but most of the humourous poems fall under one of the main subject headings: animal poems, famous figures of fun, family poetry (poems about families and individual family members) and hysterical historical biographies. There is also a section on 'How to write funny poems', links to other amusing poetry sites and a few barefaced lies about the author.
The two new sites are similarly styled, but keep separate the poems which are suitable for children from those which are adult in content. 'Poetry Mad Kids' has been carefully screened to ensure the language and content is suitable for all ages of children. Pick which site you want to visit (best done according to mental rather than physical age) and follow one of the links below.....
